5 Local Destinations to Have Your Dream Honeymoon

Your hunt for that dream honeymoon destination might be over! We already gave you a list of visa-free places in Asia where you can fly for your honeymoon, but just in case you want to spend your honeymoon here in the Philippines, you won’t have to worry because we’ve got you covered! Here are five local spots where you can have that honeymoon you’ve always been dreaming of.

First on this list is this hidden gem! Sipalay is a coastal town known for its rich marine biodiversity that’s great for scuba diving and snorkeling activities. Needless to say, it is the perfect destination for you and your beach bud if what you’re planning is a romantic getaway by the beach.

If you’re up for some adventure, going on a hike upĀ Mount Ulap with your hubby should be at the top of your honeymoon checklist. It is famous for trails that are easy enough (even for beginners!), and it also offers a scenic view of the Cordilleras. You can even choose to spend a night on one of its peaks! A romantic hike + some gorgeous scenery = perfection!

This place is nothing but beautiful. Aside from having the most gorgeous beaches and secluded islands like Daku and Alegria, Siargao also has the best variety of surf breaks, cave pools, and cliff diving spots! So if paradise is what you’re dreaming of, then off to Siargao you go!

You might not have given Tagaytay much thought as a honeymoon spot, but don’t tell me that this is not the view you want to have on your first morning as a newlywed. Besides, the line of affordable and authentic bulalo restaurants and this destination spa are totally worth the visit!

They say that Sagada is a place where broken hearts go. But as a certified hopeless romantic, I’d beg to disagree. I think it’s the perfect place to celebrate love, over and over again! And for the coffee loving couple, I heard that Sagada’s coffee and lemon pie combo is the best!
