Pastel Pleasantries

Posted by Rachelle Que

If you are a hopeless romantic like me, then you’ll love what we have for you today! We just love that spring-themed weddings most often mean soft colors, warm sunlight, and the kiss of fresh air. These also perfectly describe Nath and Lai’s wedding. Having a love for the outdoors and sunny rays, this couple celebrated an oh-so-beautiful affair  that makes us giddy with delight. It was a day of charming details indeed. And I definitely pored over the beautiful calligraphy, handmade boutonnières and decor, and light dainty dresses–all in pretty pastel hues!

Swim in a sea of colors cool on the eyes with this set from Toto Villaruel. Enjoy!

Admiring Art Deco

Posted by Janna Simpao

Every wedding is different. Every couple has their own quirks, their own preferences, their own style. That’s the beauty that lies in these joyous celebrations–a day of love, a day of being you. Today’s art deco affair is simply a testament to how each couple beautifully stamps their big day. Both being in the wedding industry, these two lovebirds were determined to make their fête as pretty and quirky as can be. For Noel Salazar, a photographer whose work we’ve featured a couple of times here in B&B, and Rae Venturanza, a make-up artist, and Noel’s lovely bride, the perfect theme would be art deco. I am smitten with Rae’s gown by Joel Escober. And I must say that bouquet by Vatel Manila was gorgeous! Our dapper groom certainly worked that suit, and that boutonniere was very art deco appropriate! We’re so grateful to Toto Villaruel for taking these amazing shots! Enjoy!

Let’s begin the day with an easy breezy affair. This is for those loving seaside I do’s, because Richard and Pauline’s by-the-ocean wedding is definitely gorgeous, laid-back and exceedingly romantic and inspiring. Going for a simple, clean and fresh vibe with pops of color here and there, there’s no wonder it turned out beautifully. Thanks to Toto Villaruel of Imagine Nation for sending this our way. Out With the Old, In With the… Well Not Really!

Posted by Janna Simpao

For old souls out there this engagement shoot might just make your day. It is romantic, young and of course vintage! What makes this shoot really nice is that it doesn’t feel “too much”, if you know what I mean. Just a hint of details here and there plus a genius backdrop of greens make this shoot real but at the same time transports you to another time in history (without taking away the “cuteness” factor). Toto Villaruel, known for his fun and quirky take on photography, definitely did a great job! Oh yes, before we move along, I must also commend the couple Jimbo and Shayla for getting into the role so well. Beautiful Set.

Again, my personal motto is: “It’s all about the details!”
