Everlasting Elegance

Posted by Janna Simpao

If elegance came in the form of rain, Joey and Cacay were front and center to make sure they received every single drop of it. This wedding courtesy of Rock Paper Scissors spells sophistication all over. The first thing that caught our eyes was that Jun Escario dress that could probably launch a thousand ships with its exquisiteness. The next one that caught our style radar’s attention were the unconventional black calla lilies that Pink Flora Flowers used in the bouquet–they were just utterly divine! And let’s not forget how much we’re smitten over the fresh and dapper gray suits the groom and groomsmen wore. Let’s welcome this amazing treat with open arms, shall we? What a great way to kick-off our week!

Sealed at Sea

Posted by Rachelle Que

I think every hopeless romantic secretly dreams of running away with their beloved, going off to an adventure for two. Some gutsy and passionate couples make this a reality by flying off to a secluded beach and getting married on an island sans the guests! I love the dreamy and laid back affair that envelopes Mikhail and Marina’s first step to a life together. The discreet and dainty details are just amazing! Yup, it’s the small elements that make this two-some affair brilliantly styled. Sigh! They pretty much had us at the recurring yet fresh sail boat deets–notice the miniature prop and the groom’s shirt? And the rings! You have to see those adorable rings! An elopement is never without a tinge of excitement, a sense of adventure, a heart-pounding feeling of conquering the world together–just the two of you, one day at a time.

These photos by Rock Paper Scissors paint a celebration that is soft and sweet, romantic, and almost surreal. Light hues with pops of red give a feel of warm summer romance. I absolutely adore the modest veil attached to a pretty floral headpiece!

Come away with us and get swept off your feet in this whirlwind of love, sea, and friendship.

Beach Beautiful Bash

Posted by Janna Simpao

So I know I just featured RPS last week, but I am just too excited to show you another set they sent us. Remember the colorful and everything-is-so-pretty engagement shoot from a few days back? Well the cuteness ain’t over yet. I love the blended hue of the pink/peach/coral motif and the beach-themed invites (the starfish accent is my fave)! Many aspire for the effortless and laid-back wedding, and few actually get to do it. But let’s just say Jamie and Cheska’s big day will certainly be an inspiration for many of you out there. It definitely made my day.

Wacky and Wonderful

Posted by Janna Simpao

I am not a beach type of gal but boy, oh boy, this wedding is surely making me consider changing my stand on sandy affairs. Don’t get me wrong, I think by-the-shore weddings are beautiful, but I just never saw myself having one (yes I am already done with my own wedding, but a girl can always daydream right?). Well today is a different story. Paul and Criz’s super playful and cute take on saying I do’s at the sound of soothing waves will leave most of us wanting a big day as stylishly wacky as theirs. I heart their DIY details and laid back attire. Yey for Thursday.

Raindrops and Romance

Rain, rain, go away, come again another day, today’s pretty wedding is anything but gray! With all that downpour we experienced yesterday, it’s only fit that I share with you a wedding that also survived some rain on the day they tied the knot. Rain or shine, this affair radiated with energy and love. Anthony and Janka’s wedding is laid back, elegant (I totally love Janka’s gown!!!), and overflowing with gorgeousness. A dashing couple surrounded by fun-loving family and friends + Rock Paper Scissors is a formula for a beautiful wedding!

Fresh, Fun and Filipiniana

Posted by Janna Simpao

When we think of Filipiniana weddings we automatically think traditional. Nowadays however, I am loving the fact that couples manage to add a modern element to it making it more vibrant and charming at the same time! Bing and Trisha’s big day is one of beauty and elegance. I am particularly loving that petal piña gown and the Celadon green color motif that gave a feel of freshness. Rock Paper Scissors did such an amazing job capturing the priceless details and wonderful memoirs of their I do’s! Friday is love.

Lofty Loveliness

Posted by Janna Simpao

There are some weddings that get our attention because of its simplicity and understated design, while the other end of the spectrum is all about grandeur and going all out on details. But I guess if you are a couple who prefers the latter, there really is no point in holding back. Dexter and Beverly’s wedding shows their bold and edgy personalities, and even their engagement shoot is proof of that! An explosion of romantic traits and adventurous silhouettes shows they are not afraid to make this wedding truly “them”. Overflowing with texture, details and beautiful elements, this affair is one to be remembered.

Vintage Variety

Today is a very special day! It’s my husband’s birthday (yay)! I really can’t wait to spend it with him. But before I do that, let me leave you with this gorgeous vintage shoot–that way everyone’s happy right? Loving the various layouts and cute dresses. From fun to drama, David and Ruby sure rocked every frame. Cheers to love and life!

Oriental Bliss

Posted by Janna Simpao

It’s every bride’s dream to be able to wear a gorgeous dress on her wedding day. Imagine being able to wear more than one? Adrian and Pansy’s wedding had a beautiful oriental bliss to it, but if you know me well, you’d know that what really made me gush over this wedding was the amazing fact that the bride actually got to wear four (including the one in her gorgeous streets of Hong Kong engagement shoot) of the most breathtaking gowns by the likes of Monique Lhuillier and Vera Wang. Of course Rock Paper Scissors was able to bring it on and capture this affair’s beauty–something to last a lifetime.

Art and Affection

Just by looking at the work of Rock Paper Scissors Photography, you would know that they are not just photographers, they are true-blue artists.  Every time I feature their work, it always seems to have a different element to it–reinvention is key. RPS is one of the photographers to watch out for in the wedding scene.

So back to this particular piece of romantic bliss. A daring (and ravishing) fashionist couple, Peter and Emily’s engagement photos seem like they jumped out of the pages of Vogue. It’s passionate, dramatic and oh-so-stylish! I give the video an A+ for musical scoring and doing justice to a fabulously breathtaking wardrobe. This is so drool-worthy!
