Fashion Friday: Claire Pettibone Fall 2014

Posted by Janna Simpao

I couldn’t be more excited to share with you Claire Pettibone‘s Fall 2014 Bridal Collection! Hot off the runway, these dresses will delight you with a whole lot of lace appliques, bold floral embroideries, and gold embellishments. And my, oh my… those eye-catching back detail designs and exquisitely delicate fabrics channel a sort of vintage Victorian perfection. I’d say it totally adds a dramatic effect to any bride who decides on wearing any of these for her big day. Think butterflies. Think English breakfast themed wedding. Or even a rustic bash in a quaint garden. Well, I dunno about you, but I could already imagine walking down an aisle filled with roses. Sigh, wouldn’t that be simply romantic?

Enjoy this lovely collection ladies!

Fashion Friday: Elie Saab Autumn/Winter 2013-2014

Posted by Janna Simpao

Here are my favorites from the Elie Saab Autumn/Winter 2013-2014 Collection. Lots of sheer and slits mixed with the usual flowy chiffon and lace appliques. I guess we will be seeing more of this in the aisle as well. But for today, we’re quite content just admiring these amazing designs.

Have a fabulous and fun weekend folks!

Fashion Friday: Vera Wang Bridal A/W 2013

Posted by Janna Simpao

Vera Wang always manages to find some form of reinvention to the trend of layered fabric manipulation (which by the way she pioneered around three years ago). Just when you think you’ve seen it all, she comes up with a collection that mixes a lot of soft elements with a subtle hint of structure and edge. A modern collection designed to enchant the heart of today’s hopeless romantic. Oh yes, we love Vera forever!

Fashion Friday: Jazel Sy Summer 2013

Posted by Janna Simpao

We are just over the moon when we get to feature local designers for Fashion Friday. And today’s pretty pick is Jazel Sy‘s Summer 2013 collection. Jazel is known for her feminine style and fabulous embellishments. If you’re a bride who wants to go for the romantic and dramatic look for your big day, then these designs might just tickle your fancy. My favorite is the fully-embellished lace ecru dress. I’m sure you’d agree that the simple and elegant silhouette is just breathtaking. Lovely dresses, lovely Friday.

Fashion Friday: Angel Sanchez Spring 2014

Posted by Janna Simpao

Among all the collections I’ve seen this past year, I’d have to say Angel Sanchez‘ Spring 2014 is certainly a breath of fresh air (and an instant favorite of mine!). Combining a youthful take on fabric manipulation plus the softness of lace, dainty applique and the perfect balance of flounce, these dresses will leave you holding your breath and envisioning a chance to slip into one of them. Surprisingly, the unconventional cuts and pleasant innovations of the traditional silhouettes exude timeless elegance, romance and dreaminess. I think I just found the perfect dress should I ever decide to renew my vows. What’s your pick?

Fashion Friday: Pronovias Bridal Fashion 2014

Posted by Rachelle Que

Okay, I cannot even begin to start about how genius the design team over at Pronovias is. This collection had me catching my breath, with my heart racing and my eyes wide dreaming–it is absolutely fantastic. Fashion meets elegance meets romance meets brilliant design over and over again! Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, I hit the next button and almost cry in the beauty of it all. There is absolutely no question, this collection is the perfect week and month ender! It is deserving of all kinds of superlatives and figures of speech–save the best for last, end with a bang, what have you.

And since I cannot do any justice by mere words, jump in and see for yourself. Word of caution, this is fashion buffet at its finest so prepare your appetite as you proceed.

Oh wait, I almost forgot the best thing about this. All this can be available to you thanks to the lovely ladies over at Mi Sueño Bridal Boutique. If I were to get married in 2014, I’d know where to go! Ohmygoodness. If that is not happiness, I don’t know what is. TGIF, everyone!

Field of Daydreams

We all know by now that we are big fans of garden shoots. Well, today we have a treat for you! It’s another engagement shoot to inspire all you romantics out there who are looking for ideas for your engagement sessions. This one is set in sunny Cebu and was photographed and styled by none other than our local terrific tag team, Marlon Capuyan Wedding Photography and Cuckoo Cloud Concepts. It is quaint as it is dreamy, and it is effortlessly charming without looking overdone. When planning your session, try injecting details like romantic prints, dainty textures, fresh blooms, and interesting elements like the hanging window panes and elegant tea set in this shoot!

Soak up the romance and sunshine with us and take in a fresh breath of inspiration in this modestly pretty engagement session of Christian and Shiela.

City Chic

Posted by Rachelle Que

A wedding in the city can have the country charm of a destination wedding when characterized by the right details! I love the soft colors in this wedding and the clean touch of whites. A pleasant detail to note is the wedding gown–not white, but a dreamy blush! I love the frothy layers of the skirt and the dainty crystals on the sheer sleeve. It’s simply breathtaking! Change it up and dare to go the non-traditional route. Stay true to your style and personal preference, and execute in a polished and sophisticated manner and you get a wedding that is all class and grace!

Archie and Erlyn’s wedding is a picture of poised urbanity. I love the city feel of the column posts mixed with the country feel of the greens–it strikes just the right balance! Enjoy this set from Toto Villaruel and keep your eyes and minds open for inevitable inspiration.
