Amazing Aristocratic Affair

Posted by Janna Simpao

Pinch me, I must be dreaming! When Oly of Metrophoto sent this our way, I almost fainted. Chris and Amanda’s wedding is all about whimsical elegance. A stately garden affair that seems to have been meticulously prepared for a prince and her princess, the details were all divine. I wasn’t surprised since the vendors behind this fairytale wedding are all so talented. Take for example that wedding gown! Veluz has once again shown such impeccable style and creativity. Then there’s the bouquet by Vatel Manila which was just breathtaking. And oh my, the cake done by Peachy Juban was just brilliant don’t you think? There’s just too many things we love about this affair! A regal and almost aristocratic ambiance sets the mood of inspiring romance. So come on board folks, kick back and enjoy the view.

Celebrity Wedding: Paolo Valenciano and Sam Godinez Part 2

Posted by Janna Simpao

We’re beyond thrilled that we get to feature more of this super cool wedding once again. A few weeks back, we got to show you the awesome on-site slideshow that MangoRed made for Pao and Sam. Today we get to see more stills that will rock your socks and make this Monday totally romantic with a dash of rad. Mixing Pao and Sam’s quirky engagement shots with the oh-so-dreamy wedding day photos, we’ve got a good balance of youthful playfulness and the ever-so-nostalgic young love.

Bob Nicolas also did wonders with the on-site video which you can check out below.

Details in the Fabric

Posted by Rachelle Que

Guests in every wedding wait with bated breath to see the bride. It is, after all, her big day (sorry grooms, but you know it’s true)! Mike and Andrea’s wedding was definitely no exception. I can just imagine the gasping of breaths and the widening of eyes when this particular bride walked down the aisle of Santuario de San Antonio. Andrea was positively glowing in her magnificent Veluz gown! The back had an exquisite lace detail sewn on fabric so sheer it was almost invisible. Topped off with a sprinkle of pearl buttons and a pretty cream bow tied and clasped with a brooch, it is so beautiful I can just cry at the genius of it!

Please brace yourselves as I regain my composure, and enjoy these photos by the brilliant Oly Ruiz of Metrophoto.

Tales of Sophistication and Romance

Posted by Rachelle Que

There is perhaps no better pairing than the mix of modern treatment and classic details. John and Melissa’s wedding was a breath of fresh air with the beautiful elements of lace, pearls, and crystals. It was a marvelous affair of elegance and softness married in sophisticated styling. The pigeonholes with the guests’ seat cards were a nice touch, and the little notes inside them even sweeter. I would’ve loved opening an envelope with my name and seat number! Maybe just as much as I would’ve enjoyed writing a love note to hang on the little plant.

I really just pored over and adored every detail, from the vintage-chic frames to the pretty blooms and the stylish typography (designed by Fozzy of The Fozzy Book, who also did B&B’s logo!)–everything was utterly romantic and classy. Revel in the images below–a perfectly captured, framed, and lit photo story by Jeff and Lisa Photography–and bask in the wonderful, wonderful feeling of enduring love and style.

Romantic Reverie

Posted by Janna Simpao

Pinch me, I must be dreaming! If you think we’re closing the week without a treat, then you’re mistaken! Since we’re already on the topic of dreaming, today’s affair will certainly send us to a happy place. Hanging marshmallows, aqua parasols, sparklers, and trinkets & things are just among the small details that caught our eye. Sigh… a hodgepodge of pretty is all we needed to make us drift into a state of reverie. I loved how Cayo and Sarah’s celebration is all about turning fantasy into reality. Not surprising since even their save-the-date video showed that they’ve always been destined to be dreamers.

From the Bride: Imagination mixed with a little elbow grease. It’s the stuff that dreams are made of. It’s also the glue that put our wedding together. Cayo and I chose “dreams” as the theme for our big day because we wanted it to be a day of play. No one was allowed to be a grown up. Far from an ultra-formal affair, it was more like the biggest “barkada” road trip–disguised as a wedding.

Happy Weekend!

Video: Tasteful Tales

Posted by Janna Simpao

So, here we are again. Same old (beautiful) story. Boy meets girl, they fall in love, boy goes down on one knee and voila! Next thing you know, girl walks down the aisle in a stunning Veluz gown. It’s fairytales like these that make B&B home to the most tasteful affairs in the Metro. Mike and Andrea’s wedding is everything elegant. And although the photos will soon grace our site (but not today, so I need everyone to be a bit more patient), we have this divine video shot by Bob Nicolas that will definitely make you gush with glee. I loved how their beautifully crafted vows set the stage for the excellent craftmanship of this video.

Yes, it’s the same old story. But we never get tired of it do we?

Heavenly Hawaii

Posted by Janna Simpao

It’s official, I love this wedding to the moon and back. Joey and Ella’s affair sets subtle blush tones against the rich hues of Hawaii. Remember when we wrote about White by Vera Wang? Ella, the oh-so-gorgeous bride definitely rocked this dress. MangoRed has once again captured our attention with these amazing photos.

Promises and Pretties

Posted by Janna Simpao

Today is pretty special. Since we launched the new look of Bride and Breakfast yesterday, we feel that it is very important that we start off this week with a dose of pretty. The best way to do that is to have bucket loads of inspiration for you, and a wedding that will leave you wanting more!

I’ve been saving Conrad and Margaux’s wedding shot by Pat Dy for this day. Not only is this an affair oozing with elegance, it’s also filled with dainty details. But I must admit the scene stealer for this lovely fête is really the bride and her oh-so-gorgeous Veluz gown. The applique is simply breathtaking and the attention to detail is ridiculously superb–I think this one of the best Veluz gowns I’ve seen so far! What I am also totally loving is the post-wedding shoot where Margaux paired the skirt of the gown to a casual white tee and tons of pearls. Talk about effortless style.

Betting on Brights

Posted by Janna Simpao

Because it’s been raining for a couple of days now, I think it’s time to let some sunlight in! Chilley and Anna’s wedding is buttery beautiful. The yellows and pops of summer hues are fresh, fun and fab, fab, fab! I love how this affair used bright colors and stuck to soft details making everything look romantic and youthful at the same time. I bet that most of you will find a lot of inspiring details and ideas from this pretty fête. Who says we have to say goodbye to summer?

Painted Pretty

Posted by Janna Simpao

Well folks, I must admit some affairs really have a way about them that turn heads and stop people in their tracks. Jing Jong and Cristalle’s wedding is probably one of those celebrations that has modern romance written all over it! And have I told you that I have this ongoing obsession with painted design? These entourage dresses done by Rajo Laurel is certainly one for the (wedding) books! Even Cristalle’s layered asymmetrical gown was exuding soft beauty as well as tasteful edge. Surrounded by a ton of pretty and a cloud of whimsy, this affair sends all of us to la-la-love land!
