Waves and Wedded Bliss

Posted by Janna Simpao

The first morning you wake up as husband and wife is one of the most beautiful days you can have. So why not up it a notch by having a post-wedding shoot with the love of your life? Jonard and Cathy did just that, and it was la-la-la-lovely! Refreshingly romantic, this seaside shoot by WeDoItForLove made our head turn and our eyes sparkle. You can’t say no to this. Simple and serene… it’s perfect.

Sea and Serendipity

Posted by Rachelle Que

Asya Premier Suites has a special place in my heart because I witnessed the engagement of two of my good friends there (yes, we cried)! So when I saw that this SDE of Jason Magbanua was a ceremony held on the same beach front, my heart skipped a beat. I already knew it was going to be beautiful! My gut was right–I loved the pretty little details like the bridesmaids’ dainty hair wreaths and the bride’s ornate hair ornament. I am totally taken by the laid back atmosphere of this wedding, from the modestly adorned canopy to the easy chemistry of the bride and groom–it’s all wistfully wonderful.

The thing about this wedding is that they didn’t have a photographer to capture the events. Everything was documented purely in film. Be still my heart! As much as I’d want to see more of the details in stills, I am quite happy seeing it through Jason’s eyes. This has to be the wedding that just keeps you wanting more! I say it again, it is all wistfully wonderful.

Keep a close eye on the bride’s wedding gown, I love the movement of the light lace and the subtle sexiness of the boned corset!

Here’s one to get your heart beating a little faster this Monday.

Sealed at Sea

Posted by Rachelle Que

I think every hopeless romantic secretly dreams of running away with their beloved, going off to an adventure for two. Some gutsy and passionate couples make this a reality by flying off to a secluded beach and getting married on an island sans the guests! I love the dreamy and laid back affair that envelopes Mikhail and Marina’s first step to a life together. The discreet and dainty details are just amazing! Yup, it’s the small elements that make this two-some affair brilliantly styled. Sigh! They pretty much had us at the recurring yet fresh sail boat deets–notice the miniature prop and the groom’s shirt? And the rings! You have to see those adorable rings! An elopement is never without a tinge of excitement, a sense of adventure, a heart-pounding feeling of conquering the world together–just the two of you, one day at a time.

These photos by Rock Paper Scissors paint a celebration that is soft and sweet, romantic, and almost surreal. Light hues with pops of red give a feel of warm summer romance. I absolutely adore the modest veil attached to a pretty floral headpiece!

Come away with us and get swept off your feet in this whirlwind of love, sea, and friendship.

Bright Beginnings

Posted by Rachelle Que

Every wedding is a little girl’s dream come true. They dream of their glamorous gowns, long flowing hair, maids in waiting, gorgeous shoes, and most of all… little girls dream of their prince. Stephanie and Jonathan’s wedding is nothing short of magical. It has all the happily-ever-after elements, and so much more! Stephanie looked absolutely arresting in a flowy gown by Rajo Laurel, made only more spectacular by the smile she wore throughout the day. I was also smitten with the cocktail of colors, textures, and prints that her friends wore to the wedding–all of them perfectly complementing the bride and the joyous occasion! And what about those adorable little ones? Too dashing in their khaki suits and colored ties! I find it safe to assume that MangoRed did not have a difficult time capturing precious moments that were painted with love, bliss, and elegance.

It shows that every single detail in this wedding exudes light and happiness–much like the smiles shared between the happy couple themselves (and their guests)! Ahhh, there’s nothing we love more than a love and joy so palpable, it jumps off the photos and into the hearts of its beholder.

We’re right in the heart and heat of summer! Let’s welcome May and plunge into this affair brimming with everything beautiful!

A Lifetime’s Adventure

Posted by Rachelle Que

Today’s feature is no ordinary wedding. It is beautiful with handmade details flown in from Russia, where the couple is from, and flush with graceful simplicity. Like most features of late, it is a beach wedding. But one vital element is starkly different from all other weddings we’ve seen–the guest list. Or in this case, the lack thereof!

I’ve always been infatuated with the idea of elopement. The thought of taking on the unknown with your one companion, your lifelong go-to person, has been both thrilling and romantic! Such was the wedding of Muslim and Ekaterina on the shores of Boracay. Surely our most prized seaside is an adventure right out of a tropical fairy tale to this couple native to Russia!

Jeff and Lisa of Jeff and Lisa Photography became privy to the couple’s special day, capturing moments from their wedding ceremony and their engagement session held a day prior. It is so refreshing to see just two people, content with each other’s company, being the other’s helping hand. Isn’t this a perfect picture of the days to come–a future being built and lived together? Needless to say I was moved to tears. I didn’t even need to hear the vows, the pictures said it all.

“Oh darling, let’s be adventurers.”

Surreal Seaside Soiree

Posted by Janna Simpao

There’s something about the smell of the beach, the sound of the waves, and the sweetness of the sunshine that make beach weddings just too darn amazing! Kyle and Regina’s gorgeous destination wedding is beautiful beyond words. Dainty and adorable, this simple yet endearing affair is enough to make us have Dorothy’s red pumps and click our heels away to Maldives. This is also the first wedding we’re featuring that was captured by the ever so talented team of Mayad Photography. With their signature mark of romantic dreaminess, we’re surely left wanting more.

Because we think Mondays are best met with beauty and love, we wanna share this simple and serenely sweet affair. It’s a dreamy delight that will surely make you adore beach affairs even more. DJ and Ji Young’s Boracay bash is everything romantic and charmingly laid back. With sprinkles of prettiness in the details (from the umbrellas to the sparklers to the starfish cake), this wedding gives us a few good reasons to float in our little love bubbles.

Finding Forever

Posted by Janna Simpao

So you know how we feature the latest gown collections from the runway for Fashion Fridays? Well, one reason we do that is to show all the beautiful bride-to-be’s the newest trends, the prettiest styles and of course help envision what “the” gown would look like. Well Angela, our gorgeous bride (who has impeccable taste) told us that her gown was actually very much inspired by our Marchesa Fashion Friday feature. And boy-oh-boy was I floored when I saw it in real life. A floral-embroidered fabric over a nude-colored lining is just totally making our pretty-o-meter go bonkers. Now add to that formula a breathtaking venue, an elegantly-styled entourage, details that are totally tasteful, and Cris, the handsome love of her life to meet her down the aisle–you’ve got yourself a perfect dreamy day to start forever.

Thank you MangoRed for sending this our way, once again you succeeded in making our jaws drop!

The Nook: A Family Trip to Cebu

Posted by Janna Simpao

A lot has happened in the last two weeks. I actually experienced my first Mother’s Day, in fact, I am currently enjoying my first iPhone, my son’s thoughtful gift (of course we all know it was my husband behind all of that)! I love having a phone with a good camera because I get to capture important moments, especially with my family.

We flew to Cebu over the weekend for a wedding. It was such a beautiful affair and I can’t wait to feature it! A little sea, sand and sunshine was definitely enjoyed. Oh, and on a side note, if you ever want to get good Silvanas, then you MUST try Cebu’s Silvanas by Mrs. U (killer)! I brought home a dozen packs… uh-oh!

Waves and Wonder

Posted by Janna Simpao

Walking up to all these amazing celebrations is one of the best things about running a wedding blog. So here we go folks, our Tuesday treat is here! Serenity and sophistication envelop Lowell and Mylene’s wedding. Of all the prettiest details in this affair, I am particularly smitten by that gorgeous veil detail. Everything else spells out pure exquisiteness. Yes, this is another wonderful set from a B&B regular, Metrophoto. Be inspired. Sending hugs and love to all of you!
