Promises and Pretties

Posted by Janna Simpao

Today is pretty special. Since we launched the new look of Bride and Breakfast yesterday, we feel that it is very important that we start off this week with a dose of pretty. The best way to do that is to have bucket loads of inspiration for you, and a wedding that will leave you wanting more!

I’ve been saving Conrad and Margaux’s wedding shot by Pat Dy for this day. Not only is this an affair oozing with elegance, it’s also filled with dainty details. But I must admit the scene stealer for this lovely fête is really the bride and her oh-so-gorgeous Veluz gown. The applique is simply breathtaking and the attention to detail is ridiculously superb–I think this one of the best Veluz gowns I’ve seen so far! What I am also totally loving is the post-wedding shoot where Margaux paired the skirt of the gown to a casual white tee and tons of pearls. Talk about effortless style.

Dapper Dedication

Posted by Janna Simpao

You know how I was MIA the whole of last week? Well, along with the bajillion things we’re cooking up for the blog (expect something big really soon!), I was planning my son’s birthday. So yes, this post will deviate a bit from weddings, but will definitely still be in our little bubble of style and inspiration. If you ask me what his theme was, I’d probably have no answer. But what I do know is that I decided to just make this party about elements and colors we love–things that remind me of my little chubba’s cuteness (of course as his mom, I am his number one fan)!

We decided to celebrate his birthday along with a ceremony of dedicating him to the Lord. We know we’ve been blessed with the most wonderful gift and we just want to acknowledge and commit who he is and who he will be to God. It’s the most amazing memory to stand with family and friends as we celebrate life, grace and love. Oh, and don’t ever forget, having dependable and talented suppliers is always the way to go…

Indulge me?

To my little dapper dude, Happy Birthday.

Betting on Brights

Posted by Janna Simpao

Because it’s been raining for a couple of days now, I think it’s time to let some sunlight in! Chilley and Anna’s wedding is buttery beautiful. The yellows and pops of summer hues are fresh, fun and fab, fab, fab! I love how this affair used bright colors and stuck to soft details making everything look romantic and youthful at the same time. I bet that most of you will find a lot of inspiring details and ideas from this pretty fête. Who says we have to say goodbye to summer?

Forever, Fun and Fab

Polished and modern came to mind when I saw this affair. Earl and Vanessa’s wedding rocked the black and white with a hint of teal for their motif. What I like about it are the small details here and there–vases, menus and guest place cards were elements that added character and a splash of edginess. Oh, and that candy buffet sure is making me hungry. Why are weddings so darn fun? Have a great Thursday!

Fancy, Flight and Forever

Posted by Janna Simpao

After taking the week off, I really missed all the wedding goodness I’m used to facing everyday. When Ernest Pascual sent this delectably detailed wedding I almost fell off my chair! Well-thought of elements, beautifully crafted articles and super steal-worthy ideas to gush over as we start the week. Paulo and Angela’s wedding made me think about poetry, romance and raindrops of whimsical wonder. It’s like a fairytale you don’t want to end.

These invitations are so artistically made! Designed by their coordinator Ernest Pascual, he says how important it is to be consistent with your theme and elements in your wedding. To tie things together, the cake and invitations actually had the same poems used as their design.

The bouquets are so dreamy! The colors are soft yet exudes a fun and young vibe. LOVE!

Gushing over this personal tidbit: Being sentimental, the bride and the groom kept their text messages and notes which were used in their “let our love take flight” tree adorned with those adorable paper cranes.
Accessorizing your wedding surroundings will always be a go especially if it is full of whimsy and romance.
Don’t you love a hands-on groom? Paulo made these little nest guest name holders! What a guy huh?
