But for Patt and Yas, the sentimental value they tied to Pinto Art Museum was enough reason to make them book the venue right away. You see, it was there where they had their first date! Who would have thought that one day Yas would be back in the same location wearing a stunning bridal gown from White Label Bridal? It really is so romantic!

And since the venue is already oozing with so much beauty and character, Patt and Yas didn’t have to worry about styling the venue anymore, giving them more energy to pull-off a cozy and intimate wedding in just four months! Martin and Aya chose a historic and meaningful venue for their engagement shoot. The Manuel Hofileña Ancestral House in Silay City, Negros Occidental operates as a museum these days, paying tribute to the rich history and culture of Silay City. It also happens to be the ancestral home of Aya’s family, so when this couple set themselves up amid the books, old vinyl records, dramatic wooden staircases, typewriters, and paintings, they were surrounded by their family’s history. In these photos by EP Studios, natural soft lighting filtering in through the windows and the tones of the furniture and vintage paraphernalia gave the shoot a nostalgic feel. A year ago, Miko and Joice vowed to stay together forever. Joice walked down the aisle in a stunning wedding dress by Patricia Santos Atelier while clasping a loosely arranged pink bridal bouquet to complete her look. Miko, looking as handsome as ever, waited patiently at the altar, stunned with how beautiful his bride was! It was a moment both of them wanted to freeze—to make eternal if given the choice. The couple felt so much gratitude for their love, for finding each other, and for the future that seemed so bright.

But fate had a different plan, when Miko fell into a fatal accident just a few months after their wedding. Today was supposed to be their first year wedding anniversary. Though painful, Joice shared their story with us as a way of honoring the commitment to each other that she and Miko vowed to keep a year ago. This is the memory she wants to hold on to today: A promise to love each other untill the next life. Myio Okamoto Photography was able to capture the most important moments through his lenses.
