This Couple Planned an Enchanting Civil Ceremony While Waiting for Their Church Wedding Next Year!

When life gives you a postponement, why not plan two weddings? Many couples are still stuck deciding between celebrating intimately and starting their life together or waiting until it’s safe again to have the wedding they initially planned, but for Raymund and Karen, they found a way to enjoy the best of both worlds. They postponed their Church wedding to 2021, but also decided to proceed with an intimate civil wedding with their immediate family and principal sponsors. It was scaled down in terms of guests and suppliers, but their wedding day was specially magical with the grandeur of the heritage house paired with tasteful romantic styling. We love how the bride’s delicate headpiece, the venue’s golden interiors, and all the other finer details look straight out of a modern-day fairytale. TJ Monterde and KZ Tandingan Chose to Celebrate under a Canopy of Lights!

If the endearing lyrics of “Can’t Wait To Say I Do” by TJ and KZ already gave you all the kilig feels, you can definitely expect the same heartfelt emotions from their wedding! Held last August 28, 2020, the picturesque ceremony took place in the vibrant outdoors, surrounded by tall trees and fresh, romantic blooms. The reception that followed was equally idyllic, where the family-style table was set beautifully under a canopy of warm lights. Although the couple only had a few of their their nearest and dearest physically present, other loved ones were invited to be a part of their special day via Zoom.

The bride was effortlessly glowing in her ivory pantsuit and loose waves that framed her smile, while the groom looked just as dashing in his tan three-piece suit. Style, sound, and safety measures were all present and crucial in turning this stunning dream wedding in a reality. Keep scrolling to see the photos by Mico Gonzales of Mayad Studios, which will surely leave you feeling like you can’t wait to say I do!

[NOTE: In line with COVID-19, proper safety protocols were observed prior, during, and after the wedding day.]

From Bali to Butuan: This Wedding Ended Up Closer to Home

Alex and Liane initially planned an intimate wedding of 30 in Bali, Indonesia. With the pandemic restricting travels, they found themselves back to square one in their wedding planning. But a heart that loves knows no limits. Alex and Liane spent their special day with two ceremonies: a civil wedding in the Hall of Justice in Butuan City, their hometown, and a wedding blessing officiated by a Pastor, where Liane’s dream of walking down the aisle came true. Although there were only 10 guests who are physically present, the livestream made it possible for 72 people from all over the world to witness their union! Indeed, it was a wedding day even more heartfelt and beautiful than what they originally planned it to be. These photos by Bahandi are enduring reminders that truly, home is where the heart is.
