This Practical Bride Chose To Wear Separates for her Wedding Attire and She Looked Beautiful!

Have you already thought of what you’d do with your bridal gown after the wedding? Some brides opt to keep their gowns as special mementos and maybe even pass them on for their future daughters to wear or repurpose someday. On the other hand, there are brides who want to make the most out of their dresses for more than just one day just like Jackie. When Jackie was thinking about what she wanted her bridal attire to be like, her first priority was functionality–a piece she can wear again and again for formal events.

“There was no specific wedding dress design that I particularly liked. I just knew what cut and fabric would work with my body type, and more importantly, I just knew how I wanted it to look and feel–elegant, simple, and modern,” says Jackie. This bride was open to the idea of wearing separates to achieve her goal of getting to wear the attire again. During her search, Jackie fell in love with an elegant white top with a train and a serpentine skirt in a beige shade from her designer’s collection. To make the outfit even more special, Jackie’s designer added a few more drapes to the top for an extra wow factor! Practical, modern, and gorgeous! How about you? Would you consider wearing separates for your big day? Get some inspiration from Jackie and Luigi’s wedding through these photos by Carlo Acetre Photography.

An Intimate Wedding in the Woods of Quezon with 24 Guests

It’s the last day of 2020 and as we put this tumultuous year behind us, this wedding is a reminder of the joyful and hopeful moments that came about despite the odds. Though Clinton and Krizia had to cancel their original plans of having a destination wedding, they were still amazed by the fact that they were able to get married in the comfort of their hometown, Quezon, with 24 of their closest family members present. Krizia says, “Amidst the chaos happening now, we were reminded to stay grounded, and to appreciate what was really important–love, family, and friends.”

Since Clinton and Krizia have been together for over a decade, they knew exactly how they wanted their wedding to be like–simple but highly detailed. Take a close look at the styling of the two long tables, and you’ll notice bottles of liquor neatly placed across the entire length. That’s a good idea if you’re also planning on giving liquor bottles as favors to your principal sponsors. We also love the neutral palette which is consistent all throughout the styling–from the floral arrangements, the naked cake, the macaron tower, up to the gift boxes wrapped in brown paper. Even though the colors are subtle, they don’t look dull at all. The neutral motif exudes a warm and soothing feel, and a very timeless look. To end the night grandly, Clinton and Krizia had fireworks light up the sky.

It has been a tough year, but we hope this wedding helps us all look forward to many more beautiful celebrations up ahead. Scroll through these photos by Erwin Leyros Photography.
