Asya Premier Suites has a special place in my heart because I witnessed the engagement of two of my good friends there (yes, we cried)! So when I saw that this SDE of Jason Magbanua was a ceremony held on the same beach front, my heart skipped a beat. I already knew it was going to be beautiful! My gut was right–I loved the pretty little details like the bridesmaids’ dainty hair wreaths and the bride’s ornate hair ornament. I am totally taken by the laid back atmosphere of this wedding, from the modestly adorned canopy to the easy chemistry of the bride and groom–it’s all wistfully wonderful.

The thing about this wedding is that they didn’t have a photographer to capture the events. Everything was documented purely in film. Be still my heart! As much as I’d want to see more of the details in stills, I am quite happy seeing it through Jason’s eyes. This has to be the wedding that just keeps you wanting more! I say it again, it is all wistfully wonderful.

Keep a close eye on the bride’s wedding gown, I love the movement of the light lace and the subtle sexiness of the boned corset!

Hi B&B’ers! I hope everyone is having an awesome Thursday so far! Well, this post isn’t necessarily about weddings, but it is about natural beauty and every girl’s desire to look their best! Dove has always been an advocate of soft glowing skin and real beauty. I love how they stand up for women of all sorts of shapes, colors and sizes. To be honest, I didn’t think I was qualified to do this. I was so nervous! I thought to myself, “Me? In a video? Why me?”. But I guess it’s true, women are so critical of themselves (you should see this other amazing Dove  Real Beauty Sketches commercial) that they fail to be thankful for what God has already blessed them with. It was definitely such a privilege for me to be part of this Dove ad. Certainly an experience I will never forget!

Here are some behind-the-scenes photos. Because this was the first time I was shot for a video of this sort, I had butterflies in my stomach, sweaty palms and was a nervous wreck. The team behind this project were so awesome though! Every minute that I second guessed myself, they were there to say encouraging things and cheer me on. At the end of the day, I was laughing so hard and decided to let loose.

We’ve been seeing a lot of photos of outdoor weddings, so today why don’t we bring life and movement to these images? Here’s an amazing video by Mayad, capturing beautiful moments under the sunset, loving embraces on the shore, and heartfelt vows in the presence of God and family. Happy were the tears and smiles seen all throughout the clip, showing us a window into Ray and Vera’s friendship and love story–a winning combination in my book! I can’t help it, exchanges like these leave me teary-eyed and breathless. Then the hopeless romantic in me is let loose for about five minutes and revels in the music, the shared affection, and the love found.

Pay attention to the detail and delight over the crafts and bouquets, arranged by the Midas touch of Vatel Manila and {etc} Handmade Goodness.

It’s a sunny Monday, and it’s a marvelous day to fall in love.

Let’s just finally admit it, we are all hopeless romantics. Shown a moderately cute love story, we break out in a smile. Shown an amazing SDE and we are beside ourselves with tears! It’s okay, it happens. Especially when we chance upon videos like this one of Cinemaworks in collaboration with Cherryblocks for Ron and Anna’s wedding. The light spills give just that dramatic flair to the sweet nostalgic atmosphere enveloping the couple, and the musical scoring is just pure brilliance! So yes, it’s impossible not to get wistful-eyed and short-breathed! We totally think it was amazing that both pictures and video were artistically-crafted, making us want to star in one ourselves. Oh, to be in love… it feels like you’re on top of the world doesn’t it?

Who doesn’t love a good love story? I know here at B&B, we’re total suckers for ridiculously romantic tales! And yes, we hit jackpot with this Mayad video we’re sharing with you today. I love how they captured such an endearing story that would most likely make a good plot for a romantic comedy–the one where the shy yet adorable “nerd” gets the popular and bubbly girl who happens to be an amazing artist. Tuan and Joylynn’s story is one of quirky charm and doting playfulness. We are just over-the-moon-giddy  over how two extremely different people find one thing in common… love. And in our book, that’s pretty much all that matters.

Greeting our week is a save-the-date video too stylish for words! The photos themselves are almost right out of a street blogger’s (think Tommy Ton and Garance Doré) site, but what makes the concept fresh is an endearing marriage of the old and the new. Take the street fashion photographs and give them a rendering in the filters of a childhood favorite, the Viewmaster, and we get a save-the-date video that is so sophisticated it leaves you wanting more–it’ll make you want to keep hitting the button and replaying, starting from the top, again and again.
