Pretty Pines and Forever’s Promise

Posted by Rachelle Que

Destination weddings always do it for me. As a guest, it becomes a trip in itself and not just a one-day celebration. And as a spectator, there’s always something magical about a faraway place. Part of the experience are the sights and smells that wrap the event in an extra special atmosphere. When that view and air involves majestic pine trees, then we know it’s gonna be a good one.

Jaja Samaniego of Jaja Lifestyle Photography captured Louie and Sheryl’s elegant affair in photos where you can almost feel the crisp air and warm sunshine, and smell the woodsy-scented breeze. I love the polished minimalism of the black and white–it gave such a sophisticated touch to the country charm of Baguio.

Let’s start off the week with an invigorating walk through the tree-lined setting of today’s feature!

Pink and Pearls

Posted by Janna Simpao

Whether we want to admit it or not, the little girl in most of us really grew up dreaming of pink, pearls, tiaras and our very own happy ending. Kendrik and Ellen’s wedding was every bit of what a modern fairytale would look like. The surreal and perfectly precious styling that Patricia Pastelero of Spruce Floral Designs created left me breathless. Romantic, whimsical and elegant (I could go on and on) are just some of the few words that are running around my head right now. Of course this modern and exquisite affair was brilliantly captured by Oly of Metrophoto. So yeah, we’re totally enjoying this ever after!

Luxurious Loveliness

Posted by Janna Simpao

We’re taking the term Monday Blues quite literally with today’s beautiful blue bash! Sparkly and glamorous, Mike and Anne’s wedding is all about the modern and maddeningly lovely. Let’s just say we know this is one affair that screams luxurious romance.

Some interesting tidbits from Oly Ruiz of Metrophoto:

I think this is the first time, albeit already having shot a lot of beautiful and expensive shoes, that one can claim to have the most expensive shoes that they can find. Not that they have to tell everyone, but it’s that I have to tell everyone. Hahaha! I think it’s just both so amusing and amazing that while the red-soled Christian Louboutin’s are very popular, Anne made sure that she had the best one for her wedding. So at the Beverly Hills boutique, they were ushered to a private VIP room where the rare designs of the said brand are stored. There, Anne tried and loved the Daffodil Blue Crystal 160 platform pumps–the perfect color for her wedding. The price? $6,395–enough budget for a decent wedding already. That may be too much information for some or just plain too much but who can blame them for having a knack for the best that life has to offer? They loved it, I loved it, everyone loved it. :) She is a Metrophoto Bride after all.

The second unique thing? How about a wedding cake so cool (both literally and figuratively) that it actually emerges from the ceiling and gets lowered down by hydraulics for the cake-cutting ceremony? It was unlike anything I’ve seen before in a wedding and surely everyone was in awe. The cake was like an ‘icing on the cake’ for the reception that was truly done impeccably.

Again, these are just two of the countless things that make this wedding one-of-a-kind (actually, I can include that I’ve never seen a groom cry as much as Mike did) but I’ll skip the writing and lead you to the photos already, I’m sure you’re curious to see what a pair of shoes that is priced like a car looks like. Enjoy the photos of this beautiful and emotion-filled wedding of Mike and Anne.

Festive Fairytales

Posted by Janna Simpao

Don’t you just love days that are filled with beauty and romance? So let’s start the week like we always do, with a good cup of coffee and a plate of wedding inspirations. Today’s gorgeous fête was shot by one of our favorite photographers, Francis Perez, Team Pat Dy. His love for the dreamy and beautiful is always reflected in his work. I know because you can see how John and Tine certainly were a glowing pair. And because we love details, you must simply check out Tine’s exquisite gown with cascading petals. Yes, fairytales and Mondays certainly go well together!

Beauty in Blue

Posted by Janna Simpao

Every wedding I write about in B&B has its unique flair. Despite the different styles of each celebration, one thing remains true… it’s beauty. So today we have another romantic one lined up–Robert and Jade’s big day is gorgeous and glamorous. But I think her exquisitely embellished blue bouquet and shoes definitely need to have a special mention. With glittering details like that, you’re really bound to turn some heads.

Captivating Classic Charm

Posted by Janna Simpao

In a time wherein personalities really reflect I do’s, I get to enjoy different creative affairs and appreciate diversity of themes. Yet, there is always an unexplainable beauty about the classic approach to weddings. Noel and Viv’s wedding is just that. It had the right amount of elegance, feminine details and soft elements. Let’s see… a gorgeous Pronovias gown (which photographs beautifully I might add!), those too-pretty-for-words pastel entourage gowns, plus an English garden vibe to the reception was enough to send me to a wedding dreamy daze.

And on an even more romantic note, our dashing groom, who wanted to surprise his bride with a feature in B&B wrote:

Dear Viv,

It’s been 3 months since our wedding but it still feels like yesterday. I wanted to surprise you with this because I remember how much we used to enjoy browsing Bride and Breakfast and getting inspiration during our wedding planning. Thank you for being such a perfect partner as we embark on this new adventure together. Love you!

Love,
Noel

A Thousand and More

Posted by Janna Simpao

I actually can’t keep count of how many wedding videos I have seen in the last two years. One thing I do know is that every so often there are videos who just go way beyond expectation. The frames, the music, and every minute factor just go perfectly together. The result usually is me holding my breath for what seems like forever. That is exactly what I felt about Wayne and Joanne’s SDE by Mayad Studios. I felt the emotion, I felt the sincerity and I felt the overwhelming beauty of finding one’s true love. This video deserves it’s own post just cause it’s so darn beautiful. Exceptional craft, Mayad!

Celebrity Wedding: Paolo and Rissa

Posted by Janna Simpao

Sometimes the simplest things are the hardest to pull off. Imagine this: months of planning and making sure your big day is perfect–that every single detail you envisioned will actually match, and you most certainly hope you made the right decision on the mood board you chose. Oh the pressure right? But today’s couple I’d say did pretty well.

Every bride (and groom) wants to call their I do’s everything they imagined (and so much more). And the day Paolo and Rissa got hitched  is really just that! It’s feminine elegance and urban chic all rolled in one bundle of wedding goodness. With these amazing-oh-so-bright-and-fresh photos by J Lucas Reyes, I think I’m gonna have a very happy Monday.

Madly Modern

Posted by Janna Simpao

What I love about weddings is that one can really tweak every detail to their personalities. Today we explore the fashion-forward-slash-modern-couture-ish wedding of Pye and Coi. Just one look at the bride’s gown, groom’s suit and their ever-so-daring entourage outfits, and you’ll be able to see that this wedding is all about pushing limits and daring for the less-traditional look. So for all you out there thinking of going for something out of the ordinary, this might just tickle your fancy.
