Oh my… my heart. My heart! I am totally smitten over the wedding photos of Jim Bacarro and Saab Magalona by J Lucas Reyes. First of all, can I just say that I think they are the cutest couple ever!!! And their adorable personalities can’t help but overflow in their very special day. It’s a rustic romantic affair with pops of candid quirkiness… and honestly, we can’t help but swoon over and over and over again.

Celebrity Wedding: Jim Bacarro and Saab Magalona Video

Posted by Janna Simpao

Be ready to laugh and cry at the same time as you watch the wedding video of Jim Bacarro and Saab Magalona by Notion in Motion. We totally love how Jim and Saab were able to insert that oh-so-witty/geeky/totally adorable banter throughout their wedding vows. And despite this event being about family and friends, you will definitely see that these two lovebirds have their own special world that has connected them in ways that transcend words. It’s a rare kind of love, a once-in-a-lifetime connection… and it’s definitely worth celebrating.

The Edgy and Enchanting

Posted by Janna Simpao

This is one unique wedding that we have for you today. According to event stylist Gideon Hermosa, this was actually inspired by Alexander McQueen’s work. Yes, you will see a lot of black tones and edgy details, but you will also definitely find romantic and soft elements that balance it out. Rob and Maureen’s affair is definitely not your everyday wedding, but then again… it’s also fun to step out of the typical. Amazing photos, Ryan Ortega! Our Thursday just got a little more exciting!

Celebrity Wedding: Eric Dee Jr. and Bea Soriano

Posted by Janna Simpao

It’s a no brainer! We lovvvvvvveeeee Eric Dee Jr. and model Bea Soriano’s garden wedding. We’ve actually been raving about it since the day we found ourselves glued to their instagram hashtag #beric2015. Why are we crazy over it, you ask? Well, for starters, we totally dig the idea that this couple managed to keep their engagement and preparation quite low key. But not just that, despite it being a small and intimate affair, it oozed with pure elegance and class. Everything felt easy without compromising exquisiteness. From the bride wearing the most beautiful Rosa Clara gown to the breathtaking event styling by Jo Claravall (C’mon! You must love that gorgeous entryway!), every inch of this celebration spoke sophistication. It’s such a breath of fresh air seeing something laid-back and still very romantic. I love how Antonio’s was transformed into a dreamy secret garden. We also give our two thumbs up for how the bridesmaids wore their own pink dresses by different designers–it added to that non-structured feel that we often lack in local weddings. (Tip for brides: It’s ok to use different fabrics and designs for your ladies!) We will find ourselves swooning over this set the rest of the week. Thank you to Bea Caisip Photography for sending these beautiful photos our way!

The Inspire Initiative Benefit BBQ–Raising Relief for Yolanda

Posted by Janna Simpao

In 2013, one of the most devastating storms hit the Philippines–Haiyan or Yolanda. It affected thousands of families and destroyed towns and cities in the Visayas. The country was mourning.

We partnered with The Inspire Initiative group, and decided to work together in raising help from the Philippine wedding industry (which we were all part of). Honestly, it was one of the most moving things to see. Numerous wedding suppliers in their respective fields poured out their talent and resources to give generously. Thus, we were able to do three different projects under this campaign: The Inspire Initiative Shoot Marathon, The Inspire Initiative Sale and The Inspire Initiative Benefit BBQ, which I will be showing you today.

A family-style BBQ was a time for everyone to gather and be united with one heart and one desire–to bless others as we have been blessed, to be of help to our countrymen who suffered a painful loss, and to spend time with our fellow wedding suppliers as well.

There was an amazing team of vendors who made the BBQ happen–see our list at the end of the post. These people went over and beyond to give their talents and resources and we really can’t thank them enough. Those who attended contributed to the cause as well since ALL TICKET SALES WENT TO CHARITY. This post came a year late, we know, but it still serves as reminder to all of us that most areas hit by this storm are still on the hard road to recovery. Help can still go a long way today.

See more photos of those who participated here.

This amount showed the proceeds from The Inspire Initiative Shoot Marathon which we we’re able to award to Unicef during the BBQ.

We’re having a pretty sweet and steady Saturday today, especially since these pre-wedding photos of Craig and Yeslyn shot by Daniel Lei Studio and styled by Papers & Pastels by DLS landed on our pages. This is a perfect example of how a shoot can look calm, casual, and still ooze with romance. Don’t you just love how beautiful everything came together in Jardin de Miramar? This is one set you will not regret seeing.

Editorial Fest 2014: Fashion Editorial

Posted by Janna Simpao

Admit it brides, more often than not, the first thing you think about when you get engaged is your wedding dress. We don’t blame you though! It’s a once in a lifetime event where you get to wear “the dress”.

Here is our third and last installment of the B&B Editorial Fest, and it’s all about the bride! With a handful of top-notch wedding vendors, we came up with this gorgeous shoot. Teamba Designs created the most wonderfully whimsical French and geometric-inspired set design (could totally picture it even for a couple’s shoot). This being a fashion editorial meant we couldn’t survive without Sidney Yap and his fashion-forward team holding the reins on all the enchanting gowns done by some of the most sought-after Filipino designers. And to tie it all together, renowned wedding and fashion photographer Pat Dy captured the beauty of each element in every frame.

When we did the Editorial Fest 2014 at the Privato Hotel, we had one thing in mind–to inspire your wedding style. The Elopement and Wedding Editorials were sure hits. But be ready, because today’s Bridal Fashion Editorial is certainly going sweep you off to dream dress dreamland.
