Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Card stock
  • Paper doilies
  • Watercolor set
  • Mixing palette
  • Brushes

Step 1: Prepare your cards. Cut and divide sheet into the desired size and number. Fold a piece in half to create a place card.

Step 2: Position a doily on a place card, laying it out with the pattern you want to create in mind.

Step 3: Paint on the doily’s patterns. Make sure to cover the pattern evenly to capture its details.

Step 4: Play with different colors using your mixing palette!

Step 5: Repeat Steps 2-4 if you wish to add more patterns. Use the dry sides of the doily for this! Repeating the same side may cause the paper to disintegrate. You may also add embellishments to decorate.

Step 6: You may now start to label after drying your hand-painted card. To make it one-of-a-kind, you can also use your brush and watercolor to write!

There you have it, folks! Now you have your place card! Get creative and try this trick with all sorts of projects like greeting cards and wrapping paper!
