Bride and Breakfast Garden Soirée 2013

It’s been a couple of months since we celebrated our first-ever Bride and Breakfast Garden Soirée. Many of you might be wondering what exactly it is. The garden soirée is a party we threw for wedding suppliers in the Philippines, sort of like a thank you and a meet-and-greet. For the last three and a half years, we’ve been blogging about many of these suppliers, some of whom we have never met, so the affair was the perfect time to do so. But because Bride and Breakfast is a sucker for style and details, we made sure that we came up with something enjoyable as well as pleasingly memorable.

Of course this would not be possible if it weren’t for the talented suppliers who made the Tropical Luxe theme come to life.

Before the event, we wrote about the gorgeous invites that we sent out. Collaborating with the most creative paper and design geniuses in the Philippines, this invite certainly set the mood. We cannot thank Printsonalities, The Fozzy Book, and Arlene Sy enough, because they set a pretty high bar for the newest wedding invitation trend–3D, personalized, artistic, and high-quality. Thanks to these awesome people, this invite received overwhelming compliments from our guests.

So for couples who want to give your guests a whole new experience, we totally recommend a 3D invite for your wedding.

We can’t deny that one of the greatest highlights in the garden soirée was the style and decor. Since Tropical Luxe is a very rare theme for events, we knew we had to have people who could understand the aesthetic and vision we were dreaming about. That’s when the Vatel Manila and K. by Cunanan collaboration was forged. Almost instantly, they knew what we wanted (and so much more). And just as if coming out of a page of a magazine, the whole garden soirée set up was one that was tasteful, unconventional, and nothing short of magical. Yes, these folks know how to style a party with easy elegance, and it’s safe to say we credit them a big chunk of the day’s success. The orchids, the printed linens, the furniture, the black tiffany chairs from Windsor & Tiffany… everything! Everything was pure sophistication.

Another key to having a successful event is the venue, and we knew that The Mango Farm was the perfect choice. Covered with lush greenery and a cozy pavilion, no wonder this place is a popular option for all sorts of events. We couldn’t have a dreamier venue than this.

A good party cannot exist without good food. So when we were brainstorming for this event, I made sure to tell Kaye of K. by Cunanan that food was of utmost importance. We knew that majority of the guests’ experience in an affair is driven by the quality of food that the hosts serve. Now we know why K. by Cunanan has made a name in the industry, because frankly… the menu was heavenly. Not only did it taste good, the presentation was nothing short of divine.

It’s a known fact that desserts have a way of making people happy. Well, these cakelets by The Delightful Miss Joyce were not only a tummy treat, but a feast for our eyes as well. Easy to pop in the mouth, the flavors we’re tasteful tastiness. No wonder they’re getting more popular in weddings! FYI, though those flowers look real, they are made out of sugar! Crazy, isn’t it?!

What is a party without a jaw-dropping cake? That is exactly what Hershey Tagulinao of Stellar Cakes whipped up for us. Some hand painting here and there, and a bucketload of brilliant creativity, this cake received its fair share of ooohs and ahhhs… and we are not one bit surprised. It was chic, chic, chic!

We have so much more to thank! Our deepest gratitude to Atom Ungson and Francis Day for the incredibly witty hosting. Sensitivity was there to provide us with beautiful lights and sounds (pretty important in a party, right?). As for a little background entertainment, we got to run videos of Bride and Breakfast editorials thanks to Metrotech‘s LCD videos! We also had the coolest privilege of setting up fun stations where Baicapture,  Pose and Print, and SLOWMOO Slow Motion Videobooth showed their stuff. In that way, people got to go around and have fun! I totally recommend them for weddings and events!

Additional desserts from the baking beauties Box of Sweets by Punky Porca and Joy San Gabriel were also a great treat and were instantly wiped out. And of course, drinks were overflowing because of Margarush, our mobile bar by JuiceBox, and the exquisite Rosemount wine from Meritus Prime Distributions, Inc. Special thanks to Gideon Hermosa of The Events Studio for making sure our booths and bars were styled to match the theme.

We’d also like to acknowlege the super talented photographers who covered the event. The pictures you got to enjoy were taken by the talented Adrian Ardiente and Sunday Morning Studios, our official photographers. Thanks to Zeus Martinez and Mark Cantalejo, who also submitted a few shots from their cameras. Our videographer For You Are Mine did a spectacular job making sure we had the best memories captured on video. Check out our other post with a full photo gallery if you want to see all the stylish outfits of our guests!

And lastly, my hearfelt thanks to our events planner, Oh Happy Day by Joed See, who was with us from day one, making sure that the event would be a huge success.

Special thanks as well to our raffle sponsors, Rummage PHI Love KoiLife After Breakfastπ Breakfast and PiesBrides & Beyond, and Angelfields.
