Fashion Friday: Elie Saab Spring/Summer 2011

Posted by Janna Simpao

Since it’s already wedding season I have a few weddings to attend myself. So I decided to treat myself to a day of dress shopping in hopes of finding something pretty and perfect. I ended up buying a fully-sequined miniskirt. New Year’s outfit? Maybe. My wedding guest number? Eeeerrr… maybe not. Shopping adventure fail.

But since we’re on the topic of dramatic sequins and weddings, let’s sit down and talk Fashion Friday. Yes, I am such an Elie Saab fanatic–let me hear a “Woot! Woot!” for those who agree with me! The color palette of the Spring/Summer 2011 collection is so perfect for a wedding (hint to brides out there). Mix some spring blush, grays and beige to some more summer colors like salmon and periwinkle blue and the result is amazing. Elie Saab fairy, please bring me any of these dresses so I don’t have to go dress shopping anymore?

I love love love these jumpsuits. Hmm… I might actually try to explore the idea!

That’s it for today! Oh I enjoy capping the week with all this gorgeousness. I’ll see you on Monday for another week of pretty things. Be Inspired!

Hugs and love,

Bride and Breakfast

  1. the only time i wore a jumpsuit when i was pregnant. Generation gap na talaga. For the life of me, i don’t know what possessed Big and Small to create such fashion pieces. A jumpsuit for Rolly Polly (Rollie Pollie?) heavily preggy woman like me.. hay. the bigger question is what possessed me. But these are amazing clothes, Janna. I need to be amazingly thin to pull them off!
